Nicolò Jarod Bulega, born in 1999, one of the most promising young people in the Italian motorcycle scene, son of an artist (his father Davide was the European champion of the 250cc as well as test rider of the Cagiva 500) will race in 2013 in the Pre-GP 250 riding an RMU 4 times of Team DFC in the CIV.

Nicolò will therefore go in search of the third consecutive Italian title (in 2011 he was also European champion) with a new team (the contract is annual) and above all moving from two to four strokes. Among other things, news today of a multi-year agreement with Dainese.

Below is the press release of the agreement. New year, new life: the old proverb fits Nicolò Bulega perfectly who, after two seasons seasoned with as many national titles, changes teams. The young driver from Reggio Emilia and now from Romagna by adoption will race next season with the DFC team of Alberto di Ferdinando and the Ciprietti brothers who will provide him with the RMU 250 4 Stroke. Nicolò thus leaves the official RMU team with which he dominated in the MiniGp 50 in 2011 and in the season just ended he made the tricolor helmet his own in the Pre Gp 125. This marks the end of an important page in Nicolò's career, which, even if he changes his shirt, will not change motorcycle brand. The DFC team wanted the young Bulega at all costs by making an indispensable offer and so the signing was achieved. Nicolò, always followed by his father Davide who will also make his experience available to the team, will bring with him a trusted technician and in February he will test the new bike in Spain. For him, the 4-stroke is something new: until 2012 he rode the 50 and then the 125 2-stroke at most, an experience that allowed him to learn the secrets of motorbike riding which he will use in 2013. The objective is that to be protagonists and continue the winning streak and for this reason RMU will provide him with the best possible material. In fact, Bulega has maintained an excellent relationship with the Reggio Emilia manufacturer and this will help the rider and team in the new challenge that will help them get used to the 4-stroke and therefore to Moto3.

“I am very happy to join the DFC team made up of motivated and passionate people who strongly believe in me. I will try to thank them in the best way with the results on the track – he said Nicholas Bulega – We will have a busy series of tests to prepare for 2013 and I am very curious to try the RMU and commit to the new engine capacity. We will have a professional team, trained mechanics and a hopefully competitive bike. I think that the ingredients to do well are all there and I am ready to start the new adventure and for this I want to thank the DFC team for the opportunity they will give me. I also want to thank the RMU team especially Ramona and Alessandro for the two fantastic seasons we raced together. I'm happy to stay on Ruozi's bike.”

In June 2013 he will then test a Honda FTR projected for 3 with a Moto2014 team, a bike that he could already ride "officially" in October when he turns 14.

We then asked dad Davide if the Federation had contributed in some way to this new adventure, here's what he replied: "At the moment we haven't had any response, we are still waiting for their communication on the matter, but I'm confident."

Now it comes naturally to ask... but is it possible that the Federation doesn't support such a young and already such a successful driver... let's hope we're wrong and that dad Davide's trust is repaid, otherwise many question marks would arise.
