New Triumph Speed Triple S and Speed Triple R – The new Speed Triples perfectly integrate the stylistic heritage and minimalist beauty of the previous ones, but with more character, more power and contemporary features.
The new 1050cc three-cylinder engine that powers the new Speed Triple incorporates 104 improvements. With more torque across the entire engine rpm range and a higher power peak, the new engine allows the rider to better capitalize on the agility offered by the chassis. The new engine fuel system ensures an optimized air/fuel ratio for excellent combustion, while the new cylinder head design allows for a continuous, full-bodied and dense exhaust flow. When designing the new Speed Triple, the aim was simply to improve the driver experience through a more lively, engaging and captivating ride. The entire project was focused on the pilot's driving experience, comfort and safety. For this reason, the new Speed Triple is equipped with a dedicated technological package capable of guaranteeing the rider full control of the bike while riding and optimizing the setting based on road and climate conditions.
Land new Speed Triples allow the possibility of choosing between five different riding modes, Rain, Road, Sport, Track and the fully configurable Rider setting, which offer the rider different pre-set settings that act on the accelerator, ABS and Traction Control. All five driving modes are monitored and controlled, together with the engine, through a new control unit. Furthermore, to achieve excellent results, high-quality, top-of-the-class components were used for both the chassis and the suspension. Both new models feature Brembo monobloc radial brakes and fully adjustable suspension as standard, while the Speed Triple R features an Öhlins NIX30 upside-down fork and Öhlins TTX36 rear suspension. The R version also features machined handlebar supports and risers as standard, as well as the swingarm and rear wheel pivot.
LThe new Triumph Speed Triple S and Speed Triple R are immediately recognizable by the new DRL headlights mounted at the front in a lower position together with the new fairing and distinctive intake duct.
