MV Agusta Superveloce 98 Limited Edition: 300 examples in homage to the history of the company [PHOTO]

80 years after the birth of the first engine MV Augusta, 98 cc single cylinder which saw the light in 1943, the Varese company celebrates its long and glorious history with the return of the "98" acronym on the fairing of one of its motorbikes.

Only 300 units in Rosso Verghera

To materialize the tribute to a success story is the MV Agusta Superveloce 98 Edition Limitata, an exclusive special series that will be produced in solo 300 numbered copies (most of which have already been booked) and immediately recognizable thanks to the c“Verghera Red” coloring directly inspired by the original shade which is made up of a two-component matt base, combined with a glossy layer for a finish that enhances the metallic pigments. 

The acronym “98 Edizione Limitata” is placed laterally on the tail and in its rear part, alongside the traditional Italian tricolour. The historical reference to the displacement of the engine designed in 1943 can also be found on the steering plate, where it was laser engraved, as well as being highlighted by the certificate of authenticity, delivered upon purchase of the motorbike. 

Ad hoc kit with Arrow three-outlet exhaust and racing electronic control unit

The MV Agusta Superveloce 98 Limited Edition enhances the racing vocation with a dedicated kit which, contained in a burgundy package, includes the tail cover, a specific motorcycle cover, the certificate of authenticity, the Arrow three-way exhaust for exclusive use on the track and racing electronic control unit dedicated.

798 cc engine with 147 HP

Il engine of the Superveloce 98 Limited Edition is the iconic one three compact inline of 798 cc that develops 147 CV of power and which, thanks to its lightness, helps keep the weight of the bike at just 173 kg dry, which drops to 165 kg with the racing kit.

The technical excellence of this bike is complemented by the equipment, with the MV Augusta Superveloce 98 Limited Edition which features: spoked rims with golden finish, braking system optimized and lightened thanks to the Brembo PR 16/19 radial master cylinder and M4.30 Stylema front calipers, Ride by Wire improved thanks to rotation negative throttle grip, instrument panel with 5,5-inch color TFT display, Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa high-performance tires and Mobisat anti-theft satellite tracking system.
