There is talk of "New normal" in the press release MV Agusta, towards the so-called “Phase 2” after the temporary stop to production activities announced last year 26 March, due to the health emergency linked to COVID-19 Coronavirus. The brand is ready to start again.

Security and prospects

Company top management had already adopted useful measures to ensure the protection of staff, well before the lockdown. Redefined internal procedures and connotative working methods “a new corporate culture of safety”. During the closure period, together with a new sanitization of the spaces, the work processes were reviewed and refined.
As highlighted on the occasion, the conditions exist to resume production activity in the historic Varese site. They are listed: “temperature checks at the entrance for employees, suppliers and visitors; supply of personal protective equipment such as masks and gloves; optimization of production lines and work spaces to ensure correct distancing; rules and procedures clearly displayed and communicated to all workers; new methods for the canteen, with full compliance with all current provisions, in agreement with the external supplier".
Timur Sardarov, CEO of MV Agusta Motor SpA, immediately declared: “This is no time to be shy”, looking towards a “new future” for the sector and the territory itself. A determination that rests on the potential of the brand itself, with the awareness of creating interesting models and continuing to operate even in different conditions, “but with the same pride and with the same determination”, Sardarov further specifies. An established course with a strategic plan, exploring new markets and segments.
Therefore MV Agusta is ready for this new production start (bearing in mind that several employees have worked and continue to work in "smart working" mode and only the spare parts warehouse has remained active to guarantee customer support), therefore "determined to implement the ambitious five-year plan announced shortly before the outbreak of the pandemic", as noted on the occasion. The objective of reaching a production of over 25.000 units per year from the current 5.000 in a few years, through investments in production and research, as well as through the launch of new models aimed at a wider audience and the expansion of the commercial network itself .
