Una TVEE, Turismo Veloce Europe Endurance, a world record. The journalist Valerio Boni riding one MV Agusta Turismo Veloce Lusso SCS he crossed 11 states over 24 hours, walking 2.003 km. Established a new record.

The news

An itinerary undertaken from Sweden and then touching Denmark, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Switzerland, Austria, Liechtenstein, until arriving in Italy.
The adventure began at 17pm on Sunday 38 June, now stamped on the receipt for refueling at the petrol station on the western outskirts of Malmö. After a few kilometers traveled in Sweden, the itinerary took more and more shape from the entrance to the suggestive bridge that leads to Denmark onwards.
During the journey the weather conditions changed, ranging from the breeze enjoyed on the Oresund Bridge, to the sunset crossed on the border between Denmark and Germany, to the rainy night, before finding a more pleasant climate and higher temperatures from midday the following day.

In addition to the changeable weather, considering a not particularly high average to conquer the record, there was no shortage of deviations on the route, as well as dealing with works, speed limits and traffic. There wasn't too much room for rest. In the first five hours a certain margin was gained thanks to an average above 100 km/h, but this dwindled despite the stops limited to the seven scheduled refuelings. A confirmation found on the on-board computer, given that the engine remained running for more than 23 hours, as indicated.
The situation became a bit complicated in particular due to a road interruption in Holland, leading us to take a detour onto a secondary road and take a shorter route at a slower pace. The arrival in Schiranna restored certainty, seeing the figure 2.003 km on the odometer. Stopwatch and counting of countries crossed went hand in hand, as did the trip odometer indicator, to not only set the new record for crossing countries in the space of 24 hours but also obtain the Iron Butt Association's coveted SaddleSore 2000 certification , the American association that approves when done by the most daring motorcyclists, at the 2.000 km mark.
