MV Agusta means success

The history of Agusta begins in 1907, when Count Giovanni Agusta, a Sicilian aristocrat with a passion for flying, founded "Costruzioni Aeronautiche Giovanni Agusta". After his death in 1927, he was succeeded by his wife Giuseppina and his son Domenico who, after the end of the war, decided to diversify production by entering the motorcycle sector. In 1945 MV, “Meccaniche Verghera” was born and in the autumn of the same year the first motorbike, the “MV 98”, was born. To stop the decline in sales in, Agusta chose the path of innovation, aiming to build increasingly sophisticated models capable of attracting enthusiasts, also driven by the successes achieved in the world championship, especially those achieved by the great Giacomo Agostini. In 1992 the brand was acquired by Claudio Castiglioni's Cagiva.

The Forward Racing Team

The history of the Forward Racing Team dates back to 2009 thanks to Giovanni Cuzari, CEO of Media Action, who decided to develop a new project in the nascent Moto2 category and, thanks to the presence of the Kawasaki team members, founded the Forward Racing Team. From the first grand prix in Qatar, the team, with drivers Corti and Cluzel, immediately showed off great potential and at the end of the year there were several podiums on the board, with the success of Silverstone as the highest peak. In 2016 the Forward Racing Team returned to its roots, focusing exclusively on the Moto2 category by presenting a completely Italian line-up branded VR46 Riders Academy, which saw Lorenzo Baldassarri and Luca Marini as the team's standard-bearers. 2017 saw the same line-up as the previous year for Team Forward on the starting grid, but with the team also entering the preparatory championship for the world championship, the CEV, which presented Lukas Tulovic and Federico Fuligni as standard-bearers. For the current season the bearers of the Forward Racing Team are one of the cadets of the VR46 Riders Academy, Stefano Manzi and the young Brazilian talent Eric Granado, who concluded last season as European champion of the CEV (European Speed Championship) and beyond what a winner of the Brazilian championship.
