Mv Agusta launches the new Brutale 800 RC: born from competitions [PHOTO]

MV Agusta Brutale 800 RC – For next year, the Varese company is planning a series of reworks for its models, all strongly influenced by competitions. The first model for 2018 will be a reinterpretation of the three-cylinder Brutale 800 RR, which will be identified with the letters RC (Racing department).

The success of the RR pushed MV Agusta to start the redevelopment project with this model, also given the performance and ease of use of the vehicle.

The engine has been deeply updated, the power output has been improved and many things have been revised, from the head to the chain tensioner, through the camshafts to the valves. The result is an engine, Euro 4 approved, capable of developing 140 HP at 12.300 rpm, and a maximum torque of 87 Nm at 10.100 rpm.

Many new features also from an aesthetic point of view, the exhaust terminal and the relative manifold, supplied by SC-Project, have been revised and made of titanium and carbon. A kit for the electronic control unit will also be available which will allow reaching 150 hp at 12.800 rpm.

The graphics are inspired by those of F4, which competes in the SBK championship, with logos and technical sponsors. There is also the sticker with the number 37, like the number of world championships won by MV Agusta. Even the rims are treated with attention to the smallest details, forged and hand-painted red, bearing the words "Reparto Corse".

For the Brutale 800 RC, Pirelli supplies Diablo Supercorsa SP tires (120/70 ZR 17 and 200/50 ZR 17).

The new Mv Agusta Brutale 800 RC will be produced in a limited series, only 350 numbered pieces. The lucky buyers will also receive the exclusive Reparto Corse kit, enclosed in a wooden box, the contents of which consist of: exhaust, electronic control unit, ergal brake and clutch levers, stand, motorcycle cover and certificate of authenticity.
