MV Agusta F4 SBK – A new MV Agusta F4 SBK will have 212 CV and it will barely weigh 175 kg, the Varese manufacturer confirmed this in a presentation to journalists. The images of the new MV Agusta F4 clearly show the specifications of a customer version of the new F4 that will compete in Superbike World Championship Next year.

The 2015 model has a lower claimed weight 8% compared to the current F4 RR, thus suggesting a significantly leaner shape in the new model. The 212 HP, 9 more than the current F4 RR, give the new MV Agusta F4 SBK a power-to-weight ratio of 1.2 HP/kg, one of the best available in any production motorcycle. For example, the BMW S1000RR 2015 It has almost 200 hp claimed and weighs 204 kg. The F4 SBK has a new cylinder head, new crankshaft and camshafts, with lighter pistons and titanium connecting rods. The suspension was created by Öhlins and the exhaust by Termignoni.

For the chassis the new MV Agusta F4 SBK used lots of carbon fiber and magnesium parts, and in addition, an optional 'racing kit' will be available, together with a complete titanium exhaust. The price will be 40.000 €, which is the limit according to WSB regulations, and its production will be limited. The MV Agusta F4 SBK is expected to be revealed at the International Motorcycle Show EICMA of Milan on November 4th.
