Refinements that translate into performance. The new MV Agusta F3 RR it is a result of the company's sporting experience, considering a generic evolution that concerns aerodynamics, electronics and mechanics.

The new MV Agusta F3 RR

Starting from the external part, one of the peculiarities are the appendages connected to a package that also includes a higher windshield, a new mudguard and a carbon fairing part. The appendages themselves are made of carbon fiber and contribute to the accumulation of a load equal to 8 kg on the front area at 240 km/h (the maximum speed that can be reached). Among the other highlighted aspects, we also highlight: a new non-slip covering for the seat, footrests that allow for greater grip and a rear circle characterized by a specific design and created through a casting process that allows saving weight and inertia, respectively of the 7% and 10%. The example is proposed in the color combinations: glossy white/gloss red e matt red/dark metallic grey.

Technique and technology

The interventions also concern the redefinition of the frame plates, a tubular steel trellis type, considering the attachment of the swingarm with implementation of the stiffness and consequent specific setting of the suspension part consisting of an adjustable Marzocchi "Upside Down" front fork with a diameter of 43 millimeters and a hike from 125 mm, as well as a Sachs monoshock at the rear that can always be managed with wheel travel from 130 mm.

The braking system is Brembo with double floating front disc 320 mm and four-piston monobloc radial-type calipers and a single rear disc from 220 mm with two-piston caliper, as well as a Continental MK100 ABS system with RLM (Rear Wheel Lift-up Mitigation) and “cornering” function. The wheelbase extends for 1.380 mm and the saddle is placed at a height of 830 mm.

The instrumentation is visible within a panel TFT da 5,5 inches with which it is possible to interact via an MV Ride application, the mirroring function and the controls present on the new blocks attached to the handlebar.
We also highlight the adoption of a new IMU inertial platform, developed exclusively by e-NOVIA, which is functional not only in the operation of solutions such as traction control but also in front lift control (FLC) for wheelie management.
Also reported Racing Kit, a set that includes various components made from solid material, a seat cover to define a single-seater configuration, as well as a dedicated control unit and an Akrapovič exhaust terminal which accentuate the performance of the model in the face of a lower dry weight from 173 to 165 kg , as indicated.

Engine and power

The engine of the new one MV Agusta F3 RR it is an evolved heart from 798 cc three-cylinder, four-stroke, compliant with regulations Euro 5. Mention is made of new main bearings to reduce friction, new valve guides and DLC treatment for the bowls, as well as other interventions and a redefined exhaust system. There are also new features regarding the clutch and gearbox with a strengthened housing and the presence of a third generation EAS 3.0 quick-shift solution.
The expressed power reaches i 147 horses at 13.000 rpm, which rises to 155 horses at 13.250 rpm considering the Racing Kit. The torque peak is 88 Nm at 10.100 rpm.
