MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR: a renewed example of design and power [PHOTO]

A thrust of 208 horsepower, Euro 5 approval

Sportsmanship has evolved along with the concept. The new one presented MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR characterized by several updates.

The motorcycle

The gritty and characterizing appearance of MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR remains confirmed overall, considering both the fluid and sculpted features and the carbon components. Footpegs redefined, now forged.
In the hyper naked panorama, the chassis of this model still offers agility and dynamism. The frame is a tubular trellis type in CrMo steel, the adjustable Öhlins Nix EC front fork has upside down legs 43 millimeters with TIN surface treatment. The travel on the leg axis is 120 mm. Behind it is an aluminum alloy swingarm with adjustable Öhlins EC TTX mono-shock absorber and wheel travel of 120 mm.
Targeted evolutions of the set-up are noteworthy, increasing handling on narrow and uneven sections, also considering ultra-light forged wheels and a powerful Brembo braking system equipped with a radial master cylinder and Stylema® calipers at the front. The management of load transfers as well as the damping capacity have also been refined.

Systems and powertrain

The evolution of the electronic part includes a new IMU inertial platform, giving the control units precise values to support safety. Among the solutions we mention the FLC traction and wheelie controls which remain "performance oriented". The ABS is connected to a new Continental MK100 module with a cornering function. The motorcycle is also equipped with an instrument panel TFT da 5,5 inches which can operate in symbiosis with the MV Ride App. Through a mirroring function it is also possible to use the dashboard as a navigator, receiving turn by turn directions.

The four-cylinder engine from 998 cc with radial valves it has been further refined to reduce friction. The titanium connecting rods are a unique element in the segment and the same material is used to develop the valves with very high rotation speeds. The distribution has also been updated by adopting a new camshaft timing in order to fill the torque curve at medium and low rpm. The use of DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating for the valve control bowls reduces friction and improves reliability, as indicated. There are also new gears for the primary transmission, always reducing friction, and it has also been strengthened with reliability in mind with Launch Control. The electronic gearbox EAS 3.0 has reached its third generation with the introduction of a new sensor. Also highlighted is a four-outlet exhaust which has changed in the shape of the main manifold. The approval is Euro 5.
A power of 208 horses at 13.000 rpm, while the torque peak is 116,5 Nm at 11.000 rpm.
