Mototrek Marathon 500: a new event for motorcyclists passionate about adventure

Mototrek Marathon 500 it is the first of a series of motorcycling activities of the Moto Club Asfalto&Polvere, a motoraid for lovers of exploration open to motorcyclists with motorbikes of at least 240 cc. The event is registered in the FMI Co.Re.Lombardia calendar and to take part you need the FMI Member card of an Italian motorcycle club. It is possible to register until September 2nd and the Dakarian expert Franco Picco is also expected on this occasion.

The event

La subscription fee of 140 euros includes a welcome dinner on Friday 16 September, a GPX track, recognition stickers for the motorbike, t-shirt, gadget and 2022 medal/badge with documented transit in at least 12 stations. 

Teams of 2 or 3 motorcyclists take part in the raid,
among those expected is the expert motorcyclist Franco Picco on an example of Caballero 500, already protagonist of the Dakar 2022, who wore the round Mototrek 500 Italian Marathon Ride logo on his jacket and motorbike.
As mentioned, registrations are scheduled to close on 2 September 2022 or once the number of 80 members has been reached. The departure from Fortunago on the hills of Oltrepò Pavese, however, is scheduled for Saturday September 17th at 05:30. It is one of the most interesting villages in Italy, where the participants will return the same evening by 20 pm, after having traveled almost 500 kilometers on the surrounding Apennines routed by the GPS track provided by the organization, touching the provinces of Pavia, Alessandria, Genoa and Piacenza, according to the indications. 


Along the itinerary there are sixteen transit stations in typical locations, where you can obtain the passage seal. There are sixteen stations in total and participants must collect at least twelve transits before returning to receive the edition's Mototrek Marathon 500 badge.
