A Special for Genoa: what is it
What makes a special unique is that it is built by special people. Those who mobilized for the displaced people of the Morandi Bridge are particularly so. The CMC Motorcycle workshop had the idea of building a one-of-a-kind Moto Guzzi to be auctioned for charity. “A Special for Genoa” immediately found favor with the motorbike world during the Motor Bike Expo. “The tragedy in Genoa touched everyone's hearts. A Special for Genoa wants to bring together the custom scene around those who have suffered and create an event that makes noise not about motorcycles, but about their world", they said from CMC Motorcycle. The Motor Bike Expo wanted to make its contribution by hosting the presentation of the project, which had the patronage of Moto Guzzi, in the setting of Veronafiere. In fact, a Guzzi Imola 350 is the basis chosen to create a slender and postmodern cafe racer, according to the retro-classic style of CMC Motorcycle. Well-known component brands contributed to its construction, offering their special parts to make the bike unique. Dainese Genova has made available a leather jacket from the 72 line and an AGV Legends helmet, while the Genoese watchmaking company Spillo has created a dedicated Demon chronograph, a unique collector's item. The collection of funds is managed by the non-profit organization "Le Manette", the motor club of the Carabinieri of Genoa. With the doors closed on Motor Bike Expo, the Ligurian capital will be the stage for the epilogue of "A Special for Genoa". The Imperiale will be sold at auction and delivered to the Palazzo Ducale during the month of March by a representative of the Liguria Region in a dedicated event. Famous personalities from the world of entertainment and Genoese football will do the honors.
