Motor Bike Expo 2014 LIVE – The Mc Cycles Scorpion

She wants to be looked at and guided... inside, her soul beats strongly

The soul, or rather the spiritual and virtual part of a living being, pure essence of the personality of each individual, something transcendent if we want. In an almost blasphemous way we can say that things also have it, and they have it thanks to the hand of their creators who live them and generate them in reality. Well, thanks to this bond, that's how it is Matteo from Mc Cycles he created a motorcycle that is theessence of the custom branch, "that" motorcycle, which makes you understand who you are and how you are. This creature is the Scorpion.

But to understand the motorbike, let's first understand Matteo, its creator. From a boy in the workshop, up to the purchase of a his own workshop, with a past as a designer in between. A workshop that now offers a truly complete series of services, from the service to a real 100% custom motorcycle.

Scorpion was born from a visionary thought, a small "Big bang" of shapes and colors with a deliberately masculine appearance. Style and performance are one. A was used 1979 Ironhead chassis to which an upside down fork with wide plates and double daisy disc brake operated by a radial master cylinder was attached. The front fender is totally handmade. Behind, two Bitubo shock absorbers to dampen the stresses of the engine chosen for the Scorpion, a V-Twin Evolution 1200 revised in fluid dynamics, balanced and equipped with Dyna ignition. Roars thanks to Supertrapp collectors and handmade silencer. The primary stock while the final is chain. The petrol, to the large pistons, comes from a tank taken from a Suzuki.

But Scorpion is also the result of bar chatter over a beer, or of involuntary suggestions from some old town guy with a story to tell. The arrows integrated into the hand guards I am an example of this, or the oil tank taken from an old Guzzi Falcone found in the countryside between Padua and Venice, modified for this purpose. The rear fender, on the other hand, had to vaguely recall the dragster or digger style.

The rest of the components go from Arlen Ness for the platforms at the Highway Lighthouse, the rest is Mc Cycles. Finishing the work with painting black, bad, opaque, with a procedure galvanic copper plating for some pieces and addition of copper leaf inserts enhanced by pinstriping.

Six months of work and in 2013, a soul at stake, and an award won: Scorpion is the first place at the 2013 Italian Motorcycle Championship in the custom Harley category.
