The Italian Army will be present at the 5th edition of “Motodays”, Motorcycle and Scooter Show of Central-Southern Italy, which will be held at the Rome Fair from 7 to 10 March.

Two-wheel enthusiasts will be able to admire the reconnaissance motorcycles of the Armed Forces, first of all the Cagiva 350 W12 Mil. THE, supplied to all Army departments and used in advanced exploration missions.

Equipped with a four-stroke, four-valve single-cylinder engine, it is capable of tackling any type of terrain thanks to its easy handling and mechanical reliability. This two-wheeler, which passed its baptism of fire as a means of rapid connection for the French army during the Gulf War, was also promoted in the durability and reliability tests organized on behalf of the British army.

At "Motodays", however, the classic vintage Army motorbikes, kept in the Motorization Museum in Rome, cannot be missing, such as the Frera 500 2CV Part 1916 supplied to the Bersaglieri cyclists during the First World War, the Moto Guzzi 500 “Super Alce” from 1943, evolution of the Elk created in 1938 for military use only and the Bianchi MT 61 from 1968, a first example of the modern "enduro", particularly suitable for crossing fords, thanks to the height of the engine, the mudguards, the 360 km of autonomy and the "anti-drowning" air filter under the tank.

The Rome show will also be an opportunity to try the Italian Army motorbike driving simulator and receive specific knowledge on safe driving techniques and how to behave in everyday city traffic.

As part of the promotional device, organized by the Military Command of the Capital in pavilion 4, a team from the Central Logistics Group will provide visitors with information and illustrative material on the various possibilities of enlisting in the Armed Forces.
