Motodays 2014 – Peugeot and the news on sustainable mobility

In addition to e-Vivacity, also the 2014 Peugeot city HYbrid Bike range

Motodays 2014 LIVE, we are at the stand Peugeot where we are captured once again by the vintage lines of Django and the almost "automotive" feeling of safety that Metropolis, the three-wheeled scooter made in France, manages to instil. News therefore, but also space for the theme of sustainable mobility. By now the electricity issue is becoming almost redundant, but that's welcome - God forbid - given the state of the air in our cities, which despite efforts, leads to continuous exceeding of the permitted values in terms of air quality. But anyway, so to each his own field, reduce emissions and use electricity. And for Peugeot the "electric current" is certainly nothing new, given that it has already electrified E-Vivacity and an entire range of E-Bikes of the House of the Lion.

In the context of the Motodays, Peugeot brought its own Hybrid Bike..."of the city", where thanks to the pedal assisted you can move effortlessly; climbs and now even long distances are not a problem. And they are not given the autonomy of the flagship models of the range that reaches 120 km thanks to an 8.2 Ah battery pack developed by Bosch; the 250W electric motor from the same manufacturer. The frame is made of hydroformed aluminum and the 28″ wheels are combined with a Shimano transmission with 10-speed SLX gearbox. The brakes also rely on Shimano know-how and are M445 hydraulic disc.

This is for the top of the range CE21 and CE31. For other Peugeot HYbrid Bikes, the frame is always made of aluminium, some models are equipped with 8mm adjustable Suntour CR50 suspension fork, such as CE132, CE73 and CE133. The batteries are Lithium Ion and autonomy ranges from 50 to 70 km depending on the model.

Thanks to these pedal-assisted hybrid bicycles, a bike can really take place new type of extended mobility. In the city and also on extra-urban routes, including off-road sections thanks to the suspension fork. This collection of e-bikes start from 1.199 euros of the CE133, and reaches the nice sum of 2.299 euros of the CE31 and CE21 equipped with Bosch electronics.
