Moto Trainer: the revolutionary motorcycle simulator made in Italy [PHOTO and VIDEO]

We tried it for you together with the two-time world champion Manuel Poggiali

Four wheels move the body, two move the soul: a phrase that is perfectly suited to all motorbike enthusiasts, whether they are professional riders or simple amateurs, and which finds maximum confirmation in driving on the track. An exciting activity, but not always possible due to high costs and risks without adequate preparation. This is why it was born Moto Trainer, one of the most advanced motorcycle driving simulators currently on the market, entirely made in Italy. We had the pleasure of testing it last October 4th during the fast driving course organized in Rome, with an exceptional instructor: the two-time world champion Manuel Poggiali.

Moto Trainer: an all-Italian revolution

What is Moto Trainer? It is a Extremely realistic simulator invented by the Tuscan Andrea Lombardi, CEO of the company, and developed by motorcycle industry technicians and experienced riders. Moto Trainer It is the only simulator currently on the market that uses a real motorbike (even your own) and allows you to reach bend angles of up to 50°; the electric motors (one of which is connected to the fork) and the adjustable shock absorbers also reproduce some sensations such as the transfer of load to the front end when braking and the straightening effect when the throttle is reopened. The advantage for the user is twofold: on the one hand the system results extremely useful for training specific muscles used in fast motorbike riding; on the other hand, being able to virtually race on most of the world's circuits, they can be memorized in total safety braking and corner entry points e analyze your sessions with accurate telemetry (accelerator, brake, lean angle, gearbox). Furthermore, Moto Trainer allows you to improve your riding position and there is a solution also ideal for training during the winter season. Obviously the simulator can also be used by simple enthusiasts with a view to fun/entertainment, being compatible with Xbox and PC.

The fast driving course with Manuel Poggiali

We had the honor of participating in the fast riding course held in Rome at the Moto Omnia Regit school, obviously on Moto Trainer, with an exceptional instructor: We are talking about Manuel Poggiali, two-time world champion, in 2001 in the 125 class with Gilera and then in 2003 in 250 with Aprilia; an Aprilia 250 was the vehicle used during the training event, which allowed the participants to refine their technique between the curbs e fix all those mistakes difficult to find without the analysis of an expert coach. After a theoretical session, the champion assisted each participant individually for a few laps on the Misano track, advising on the correct riding position, brake and accelerator management and corner setting and then comparing the telemetry with that of his ideal lap.

The event ended with a fun and challenging contest at Mugello using the Bike Sim Experience software: each participant had access to it 3 laps to try to set the best time. With a best lap of 2'04” it was the writer who won the first prize, delivered personally by the San Marino champion!

For those who want to experience the same emotions, they can still sign up to upcoming courses 2020. Below are the available dates:
