Motorcycle – Registrations in October totaled 11.305 vehicles, recording growth of +4% compared to the same month of 2015. The development of motorbikes is still brilliant with 3.859 units and a +12,7%, while scooters, which with 7.446 units are worth two thirds of the registrations for the month, are stable. 50cc vehicles with 1.619 registrations recorded a decrease of -5,5%. October accounts for approximately 7% of total sales for the year.

"The recovery remains weak due to the uncertainty of the political framework, but there is no shortage of encouraging signs in terms of production, orders and exports. Disposable income is increasing but has not yet translated into an acceleration in consumption due to the prudent attitude of families. In this context, registrations maintain a constant growth trend which has already continued for a year, with the only exception of July." says Corrado Capelli, President of Confindustria ANCMA (National Association of Cycle and Motorcycle Accessories). "The consolidation of the market also occurred thanks to the efforts of manufacturers who continued to invest in innovation, presenting new models long awaited on the market, many of medium displacement with accessible prices and easily manageable performance. The growth of 125cc models, both motorcycles and scooters, is encouraging, demonstrating the interest of new users and giving us hope for the future of the sector. Finally, it should be remembered that the request for replacement, postponed during the years of crisis, has now become undeferrable. In a few days the new edition of EICMA will open its doors, with a lively presence of new features to renew the enthusiasm of enthusiasts. We are certain that the show will confirm its desire to continue the virtuous path of development. "
