Moto Morini: the new Milano arrives at EICMA 2018 [PHOTO]

The new president of the Golden Eagle company recalled that the company will remain 100% Italian

In addition to the presentation of the new models at EICMA 2018, the confirmation that everyone was expecting has arrived: Moto Morini, despite the recent change of ownership (Zhongneng Vehicle Group), announced through the voice of the new president, Doctor Chen, that the Home of the Golden Eagle will remain 100% Italian.

But good news never comes alone, the new president has always announced that he has big plans to increase the company's activity also thanks to the support of the ZEN group which will guarantee greater distribution at a global level.

But let's move from words to facts. After last year's presentation in a limited edition (only 30 examples) the Moto Morini Milano is ready for mass production. The Milano is inspired by the great classic from the Golden Eagle house, the 3 ½ of the Seventies. The new motorbike is powered by the well-known 87° and 1200 cubic centimeter Biarancio CorsaCorta V engine, already seen in the Corsaro ZZ and ZT models, but with several updates. The declared maximum power is 116 HP at 8000 rpm and a maximum torque of 108Nm at 7.000 rpm. Also new is the 'special' exhaust system, which wraps around the engine and then ends in two large tailpipes.

The suspension department was designed in collaboration with the technicians of Mupo Race Suspension and includes: 46 mm upside-down fork adjustable in every parameter (spring preload, compression and rebound) and monoshock adjustable in preload, rebound and wheelbase. At the rear there is a trellis swingarm made of Chrome Molybdenum steel which works with a stroke of 110 mm (front wheel 120 mm). As an option, the DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) treatment of the fork legs is provided which increases smoothness and changes the look. The braking system is branded Brembo and consists of: double 320 mm front disc and 4-piston radially mounted calipers (operated by a radial master cylinder) combined with a 220-piston rear caliper that acts on a XNUMX mm disc.

Moto Morini Milano will be available next spring at a price of 15 thousand euros in two colors: red and blue.
