Moto Mash, when vintage style speaks French

A line of motorcycles in the name of classic and slow ride riding

Small motorbike, affordable price, perfect look, vintage to the right degree. They are the motorbikes of the French company Mash, already seen at the Motor Bike Expo 2014 in Verona and imported into Italy by Fantic Motor. You shouldn't expect eye-opening performance or racing-class chassis, that's clear. Rather, bikes like this are ideal for rediscovery of a more staid "riding a motorbike". and slower ride. Seventy, Seventy Five, Café Racer, Two Fifty and Scrambler the models in the price list, with displacements of 125 or 250 cc.

Both are equipped with a 125 cc single-cylinder engine with 11,6 HP, Seventy (1.990 euros) and Seventy Five (2.390 euros): the first loves asphalt roads, while the "Five", thanks to its slightly knobby wheels, does not disdain some dirt roads. The lines are classic but evocative English scrambler, contextualized to the period with the right colors and details such as the rubber knee pads on the tank. Great maneuverability and low weight a only 99 kg. 17" spoked wheels.

With regard to the Cafe Racer we don't differ much from the Seventies. And a little' sportier, light (95 kg); the rearset footrests, the clip-on handlebars and the single-seater saddle will force you into a more…aggressive posture as a café demands. Upside down fork and pair of shock absorbers at the back, and the chassis painted gray with blue/white superstructures…Pretty. Choosing this bike over the Seventies is just a matter of taste and tastes come at a cost 2.690 €.

Then there is the scrambler (2.590 euros), betrayed by the exhaust, instead of low and cigar-shaped, high and surmounted by the number plate. Then there's the off-road handlebars where the classic reinforcement crosspiece is not missing and the classic bellows to protect the fork legs are not missing either. The classic flat saddle shows off here white contrast stitching. All Mash models are equipped with a double disc braking system, with the exception of the Seventy and the Scrambler which have a drum at the rear.

The review ends there Two Fifty 250. It is the "biggest" of the group thanks to its single piston which combines bore and stroke 249cc and 23hp. Even for her the retro line is certainly not to be desired. We are in the midst of the 60s/70s, the short mudguard gives it a café touch and a nice spotlight that looks like an "accessory" has been mounted just above. The upside down fork is a bit out of place, a traditional one would have contributed to the vintage feel of the Two Fifty which, however, is worth 3.490 €.
