Moto Guzzi V85 TT: the motorcycles destined for the Cuirassier Regiment presented to President Mattarella

This morning at the Quirinale Palace, two new ones were presented to the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella Moto Guzzi V85TT addressed to the Cuirassier Regiment, in the year in which the centenary of Moto Guzzi is remembered.

The renewed “classic travel enduro”

Speaking of the advanced model, three new graphic variants are combined Black Etna, Mojave Yellow e Red Uluru. Considering the anniversary, a special event is also worth mentioning Centenary livery. The updates also concern the Moto Guzzi V85 TT Travel, an example distinguishable by looking at the Touring windshield, a pair of additional LED spotlights, a set of adjustable heated grips, side cases from the Urban series and the Moto Guzzi MIA multimedia platform.
The classic yet contemporary appearance is connotative, like the DRL motif visible when looking at the front light cluster.
The instrumentation is digital, visible on a color TFT screen. Through Moto Guzzi MIA, the multimedia platform present as an optional in the rich catalog of accessories, it is possible to interact by connecting the smartphone and the vehicle system.
Also distinctive are the new spoked rims with tubeless tires for an indicated weight saving of approximately 1,5 kg. Among the innovations in the electronic part, we highlight two new Riding Modes in addition to the already mentioned Road, Rain and Off-road: a Sport aimed at enthusiasts of lively driving and a customizable Custom. There is also a quick response linked to the Ride-by-Wire control, management of traction control, ABS and cruise control.
The V85 TT is equipped with an air-cooled transverse 90° V-twin with pushrod and rocker arm distribution and two valves per cylinder, the intake ones being made of titanium. According to the information, the torque is richer at low and medium speeds through an optimized cam lift law of the rod and rocker arm distribution and an adaptation of the engine control electronics.
