Moto Guzzi V85 TT: one of the most anticipated bikes of the year arrives

All the technical characteristics and the price of the new motorcycle from the Mandello company

After the presentation at EICMA 2018, Moto Guzzi is ready for the official launch of the new one V85 TT.

These days they are starting test laughs (here all the info) and the Mandello company has released the complete technical data sheet complete with price. On the Italian market the V585 TT lands at the price of 11.590 euro ex dealer.

Technical characteristics of the V85 TT

The fundamental concepts underlying the project V85 TT are the essentiality, ease and practicality, typical of enduro bike from the 80s, combining them with the needs of a modern touring motorcycle. A debut on the V85 TT new engine Moto Guzzi, it's a twin cylinder air-cooled 90° transversal V, with rod and rocker arm distribution and two valves per cylinder. There displacement is 853 cc and capable of boasting a specific power of almost 100 HP/litre. The maximum power is 80 CV while the maximum torque is 80 Nm at 5.000 rpm, with 90% of the torque available already at 3.750 rpm. It is the first Moto Guzzi small block engine capable of easily reaching 8000 rpm.

La V85 TT promises to give the rider a feeling of solidity at the front thanks to the particular layout of the steel tube frame, complete with die-cast aluminum plates supporting the rider's footpegs. The rear part of the frame is designed to optimize load capacity and offer the passenger two large and practical grab handles. A was also designed swingarm very long and asymmetrical. The left arm with a curved shape, to design a very linear flow of the exhaust pipe and reduce lateral dimensions. The right arm of the swingarm instead houses the new cardan transmission: V85 TT it is the only one in its segment to use AD final transmission cardan shaft, preferred to chain transmission because it doesn't get dirty and doesn't require maintenance.

The suspensions they offer very generous wheel travel (for both it is equal to 170 mm) for satisfactory off-road use, as well as guaranteeing comfort on the road. The fork, with 41 mm diameter legs, and the shock absorber with separate reservoir are both adjustable in spring preload and rebound hydraulics. The braking system is of a superior category and includes a double 320 mm diameter steel front disc with a pair of calipers Brembo with radial connection with 4 opposing pistons, connected to the handlebar pump via metal braided hoses. At the rear there is a 2-piston floating caliper with a 260 mm diameter steel disc. The system is controlled by a deactivable multi-map Continental ABS system.

La electronic equipment as standard is complete and includes three different driving modes: Road, Rain and Off-road. Each of these Riding Modes corresponds to a different engine map and a different calibration of the MGCT traction control (excludable) and ABS, as well as a different response of the Ride-by-Wire accelerator control

Moto Guzzi V85 TT It is offered in the graphic variants: Atacama Grey, Atlas Blue, Vulcano Red, Sahara Yellow and Kalahari Red.
