Characterizing shapes

Giulio Rossi Paccani, Style Center Senior designer, talks about the interesting aesthetic aspects of the new Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello.
A motorcycle that represents a sort of conjunction between the sport-touring and roadster segments, with refined technological solutions starting from adaptive aerodynamics for the benefit of protection, comfort and dynamic character.
The design is the result of a balanced symbiosis between elegance and sportiness, so that this motorbike can always remain at the forefront from an aesthetic point of view over the years. The designers of the Moto Guzzi Style Center worked on dimensions that are compact and enveloping for the different technological solutions, always considering comfort for the rider and passenger. The LED front light cluster with a DRL motif which features the brand symbol in a stylized format is equally connotative, as is the design of the exposed liquid-cooled engine, which contributes to making the overall appearance unique. Also interesting is the choice made for the design of the rear light clusters, which recall the afterburners of aeronautical engines.
The engine remains a key aspect of the project also from an aesthetic point of view, but references to the past can be seen by observing, for example, the slits on the underseat panels which recall the historic Le Mans 850 of 1976.

Depending on the version there are different liveries and contents. The specimen Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello it already features extensive standard equipment including a full LED lighting system with DRL, various electronic systems including adaptive aerodynamics and mechanically adjustable Kayaba suspensions. Instead the Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello S features equipment with exclusive technological solutions such as heated grips, TPMS tire pressure indicator, Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active suspension, a quick shift system and the Moto Guzzi MIA connectivity solution. The colors combined with this specimen are Green 2121 the result of a combination of green and gray like on the legendary Otto Cilindri, therefore alternatively a sporty livery Avant-garde Grey. The rims are always painted matt black.
The range of accessories is varied, allowing you to choose between solutions for transport or to accentuate its comfort and functionality.
Along with the two versions already mentioned, there is also the exclusivity Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello Naval Aviation made in a limited and numbered series 1913 unit and with a dedicated livery that recalls that of the F-35B fighters supplied to the Navy, as well as a laser engraving of the serial number on the handlebar riser.
