Technical aspects

Moto Guzzi V7 presents a steel frame and retains the typical double cradle design and weight distribution of the most recent production. The saddle-handlebar-footpeg triangulation has been confirmed, taking into account a low saddle and the positioning of the aluminum footpegs.
Also listed is a dual-channel ABS system (a Continental system) and a hint of MGCT (Moto Guzzi Traction Control) traction control which is adjustable on two levels and can be deactivated.
At the front there is a 40 mm hydraulic telescopic fork with 130 mm travel. Furthermore, speaking of refinements regarding stability and comfort, a reinforcing steel gusset has been placed in the area under the steering head, as we mention interventions in the area corresponding to the adjustable shock absorber attachments, arranged in a more inclined manner forward.
There is also a larger swingarm with a new bevel gear pair in consideration of the greater torque expressed by the engine. The braking system includes a 320 mm stainless steel floating disc at the front which is flanked by a four-piston Brembo caliper, while at the rear another 260 mm stainless steel disc and a two-piston floating caliper.

The engine

The Moto Guzzi engine is derived from the one that powers the V85 TT. It features the characteristic construction layout of the most recent production: an air-cooled 90° transverse V-twin with pushrod distribution and rocker arms with two valves per cylinder. The unit gives 853 cc It has a bore to stroke ratio of 84 x 77 mm. The maximum power, compared to the previous figure, grows by 25% reaching 65 horses at 6.800 rpm.
