Moto Guzzi: traveling towards 2121 [VIDEO]

News, driving experiences and a redefinition of the historic headquarters in Mandello del Lario. In a video proposed by Moto Guzzi Official, on YouTube, introduces the path of Moto Guzzi in the next 100 years.
A first step has been taken with the new one Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello, in view of the official presentation scheduled for November 23rd at EICMA, the International Two Wheel Exhibition. Another interesting novelty is the important one project connected to industrial site. A vision where culture, industrial and technical experience, environmental sustainability and style find space.

“Road to 2121”

The video features Davide Zanolini, Head of Piaggio Group Marketing & Communication; Marco Lambri, Head of Piaggio Group Design Center; Greg Lynn, Architect and Designer – CEO Piaggio Fast Forward; Luca Francioso and Fabrizio Zucchi, two Moto Guzzi Restorers.
The future is composed of three levels, as highlighted by Davide Zanolini in the video: product, experiences e luoghi. As mentioned, the first production step is represented by the new one Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello, which is not just a model but a platform for the development of several examples over the next five or six years.

The new Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello

One of the eagerly awaited protagonists at the next edition of EICMA will be officially presented on November 23, 2021, after being shown briefly in a video proposed by Moto Guzzi Official.
At the moment only rumors. The new Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello it would be equipped with a new liquid-cooled engine with a displacement of just over 1.000 cc. A V-twin layout, considering the images in the movie, with an inclination that should be 90°. The design consisting of an alternation of sculpted and fluid lines is also interesting. Equally connotative is the front light signature with a daylight placed at the bottom, which presents the symbol of the eagle with spread wings in a stylized form. It seems like a new interpretation of what was already noted on the classic travel enduro V85 TT. In the film there are targeted perspectives that allow a quick look at various solutions, including electronic ones, such as lifting the fairing and opening two side vents. You can also hear the sound of the engine, which suggests a strong character.

The new industrial site

The draft conservative renovation of the industrial site in Mandello del Lario is another interesting point highlighted on the occasion. The place where Moto Guzzi models have been produced for 100 years.
An intervention that will concern the entire area, observing the project conceived by the well-known American architect and designer Greg Lynn. An environment with open and usable spaces, defining a meeting center where knowledge and environmental sustainability converge.
The expansion of production capacity, to be related to a constant increase in market demand, adds up to an innovative concept of the plant. Along with the new factory, conference spaces, a hotel and a restaurant are also planned. The new buildings will be developed using existing volumes and according to a functional management of energy resources, considering photovoltaic systems and eco-sustainable materials. According to indications, the works will begin by 2021 and be completed in the first half of 2025.
