Moto Guzzi: the red gate opens wide for the 2018 Open House [PHOTO and VIDEO]

Moto Guzzi – With Swiss punctuality, but under an entirely Italian sun, at 15 pm sharp, the historic red gate of via Parodi 57, in Mandello del Lario (LC), home of Moto Guzzi, opened its doors to kick off the edition 2018 gods Moto Guzzi Open House.

Moto Guzzi Open House: the event

Already some time before the official start of the event, there were several people queuing at the gate, all rigorously on motorbikes and wearing their own t-shirt, or jacket, to signal their belonging to what is now a large family.

From today until Sunday evening, Mandello del Lario will be animated by the biggest party dedicated to all Guzzi fans. The opening coincided with that of the Shop and the guided visits to the Moto Guzzi Museum, a true historical memory of the Como brand, where 150 of the rarest and most representative Moto Guzzi examples are preserved. From tomorrow, Saturday 8 September, starting from 09:30, it will be possible to take part in guided tours of the production lines, of the engine assembly where the legendary twin-cylinder bikes are created, and of the historic Wind Tunnel where the new and highly anticipated Moto Guzzi V85 TT which we can show you now but which we will tell you about over the weekend.

Still tomorrow, but from 11 the appointment is at the Moto Guzzi Village with the talk show with special guests to talk about the new Moto Guzzis to come and the passion for customization. This year too, refreshment will be provided by Street Food, thanks to the presence of five different mini trucks capable of creating gourmet quality dishes on site with a wide choice linked to the best traditions of Italian cuisine. The test rides will depart from the center of the Village at 30:09. All the models in the Moto Guzzi range are available, along a route designed to test the qualities of the Como motorbikes, accompanied by the wonderful landscapes offered by Lake Como. The protagonist of the tests will also be the V30 III Limited, the latest special version of Mandello's "settemezzo", made in just 7 numbered examples. On Sunday 500 September the program includes the opening to the public again at 9:09 and the start of a series of guided tours of the production line, engine assembly and the Wind Tunnel. The first test rides will start at the same time and the shop will also open.

Moto Guzzi Open House will also be an opportunity for the Italian company to present two bikes as a preview. The aforementioned V85 TT, the first medium-displacement classic enduro dedicated to motor touring, a one-of-a-kind motorcycle that manages to combine classic lines that are highly evocative typically Moto Guzzi in one body, with cutting-edge equipment, performance and dynamics; but also the V9 Bobber Sport that Moto Guzzi presents for the first time as a tribute to the Open House public. Essential and mean in lines, V9 Bobber Sport is the sporting declination of a model that convinced not only for its superb shapes, but also for its driving qualities.
