The passion for Moto Guzzi is strong, confirmed on the occasion of WYD – Guzzi World Days between days 8 e September 11th. Over 60.000 Guzzi fans reached Mandello del Lario to celebrate 100 years of the brand, after last year's postponement.

A century-old passion

Four days of celebration with the famous L'Aquila brand as protagonist and thanks also to the Municipality of Mandello del Lario, where the history and culture linked to the motorcycle brand continues to pulsate, which during the event managed the activities outside the plant.
Il Museum and historic factory in Mandello del Lario they were visited by over 20.000 enthusiasts, a limited number for reasons of maximum capacity, within a weekend full of events.

Visits to the assembly lines and the famous and historic Wind Tunnel were planned. The Museum has been entirely redefined with the visit experience in mind and preserves several examples divided into three large thematic areas, relating to production models, competition models and military-type vehicles.
In all approximately 160 restored models in a meticulous way by Moto Guzzi staff. It ranges from first GP prototype and from "Normal", the first series motorcycle, up to the most recent models produced.

The redefinition of the Museum represents a preview of the conservative renovation project which concerns the entire industrial site, making the Moto Guzzi space an interesting meeting center for enthusiasts.
Al Moto Guzzi VillageThen, the music of Virgin Radio enriched the atmosphere by punctuating other moments on the agenda, such as the talk show in which those responsible for the V100 project illustrated the new roadster. The entire current range is also on display, including the new one Moto Guzzi V7 Special Edition, two V7 motorcycles prepared for the Moto Guzzi Fast Endurance Trophy and some specials designed by Filippo Barbacane of Officine Rossopuro.

Models also available for testing Moto Guzzi V7, V9 e V85 TT, totaling over 800 test rides, as indicated.
Over 60.000 enthusiasts gathered in Mandello del Lario and many of these arrived on their motorbikes. A large number of Guzzisti from various parts of Europe and even from Australia, Indonesia, South America and the United States.
Among the highlighted models, enthusiasts were able to observe the new one Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello located at the entrance of the Wind Tunnel in the Magma Red livery and also in the center of the Village in the Polar White color. The bike was also the protagonist during Saturday's parade led by the actor Ewan McGregor, behind the Cuirassiers on the California 1400. The well-known Hollywood actor then joined the rest of the enthusiasts who visited the Museum and the factory.

The Scottish-born actor's passion for Moto Guzzi dates back to his first motorbike, a used Le Mans. Since that first example he has owned at least a dozen Moto Guzzis and the latest is a V85 TT model.
McGregor had recounted his bond with Moto Guzzi in the road movie "Long Way Down", stopping in Mandello del Lario and observing the factory for the first time. Subsequently he reached Mandello del Lario again for the GMG - Guzzi World Days in 2007, returning to London riding a California Vintage.
As mentioned previously, on 10 and 11 September interested parties had the opportunity to book for the purchase of one of the first Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello exclusively at the historic factory, while from 12 September the special pre-booking program continues online on the portal Guzzi motorcycles.
