The third edition of the Moto Guzzi Fast Endurance, the single-brand store valid now as FIM Europe European Cup starring different teams riding Moto Guzzi V7III equipped with GCorse Racing Kit and tires Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp RS, was taken on the asphalt of the Varano racetrack. The VMS Benty 2 crew won both "mini endurance" races.

A new edition

The operations have already started Friday 21 May during the timed trials to define the starting line-up for the scheduled races Saturday e Sunday. The pole was signed by the duo of the Altinier Motorsport & Biker's Island team made up of Emiliano Bellucci and Tommaso Totti, with an average lap time of 1'19”781. On the grid, behind them, the VMS Benty 2 formations made up of Paolo Bentivogli and Giorgio Bianchi, therefore CheMoto! Rome with Sauro Valentini and Domenico Valenza.

In race on Saturday the rookie VMS Benty 2 team took the lead right from the start, overtaken by the Motoclub dei Rapaci team made up of Luca Fornasiero and Mauro Rossignoli for a short period of the race, after the first driver change. Having regained the lead, Bentivogli-Bianchi imposed a great pace on the first pursuers of the CheMoto crew! Roma, who came second ahead of the Garage 71 team made up of Davide Rossi and Samuele Colonna. A third place achieved a few minutes from the end. The Altinier Motorsport & Biker's Island crew, starting from the first place on the grid, finished fourth after a less than optimal start and in any case were protagonists in the race.

The VMS Benty 2 lineup was also confirmed in the Sunday run, in a “mini endurance” made interesting by the dispute for the podium. Team Pablo made up of Paolo Rovelli and Francesco Curinga initially faced the Altinier Motorsport & Biker's Island team, conditioned halfway through the race by a fall which led to their retirement. In the last stretch of the session, Paolo Rovelli defended his second place from the attacks of Domenico Valenza of the CheMoto team! Rome, separated in the sprint by less than two tenths. In fourth position Garage 71, followed by Guaracing Factory Team 1 composed of Gianfranco Rubini and Jacopo Rizzardi. The team also finished fifth in game 1.

Following these two races, the VMS Benty 2 team leads the series with full points with 40 points, followed by CheMoto! Roma at 32 points, Garage 71 at 28 points and Team Pablo at 27 points. Next meeting on the Vallelunga track on July 4th.
