Montesa COTA 4RT260 and COTA RACE REPLICA 2017 – Montesa presents the news relating to the COTA 4RT260 and COTA RACE REPLICA 2017 models, the trial motorcycles which have been developed every year since 2014 with the aim of continuously improving performance. The two models will be available in Italy from September 2016.

The biggest change concerns the aesthetic appearance of the COTA 4RT260, characterized by an elegant white that combines perfectly with the blue and red details of the aluminum tank, thus giving the bike an increasingly sophisticated look. Additionally, the TECH fork now has chrome stanchions and black sliders. On the COTA RACE REPLICA the "M" of the Montesa logo is now found on the rear part of the mudguard, thus giving greater visual impact, but still with the look of the world champion #bike of the Repsol Honda Team brought to the race by riders Toni Bou, Takahisa Fujinami and Jaime Busto. From an equipment point of view, both models have a longer starter lever, like on the COTA 300R, to make operation even easier.

As for the thermodynamic group, both models maintain the reliable 260cc 4-stroke engine which had already received important updates on the 2016 models, including greater power, thanks to a new fuel pump which ensures greater fuel flow, and adequate mapping of the ECU, which determines a particularly full delivery curve at medium and low rpm. Furthermore, the reduction of engine braking was brilliantly achieved by Honda technicians thanks to the engine crankcase decompression system which, with the throttle closed, makes controlling the motorcycle easier and more instinctive. As for the suspensions, the Showas have been confirmed for the COTA RACE REPLICA, a true point of reference in the world of trials, and on the Cota 4RT260 the TECH fork and the multi-adjustable R16V monoshock.

For both models, the dual mapping module is available as an optional, which can be activated via a control on the handlebar, to allow the rider to choose between the standard map and a map for low grip conditions.
