Monster Energy Honda Team at the Dakar 2021: a new sporting chapter [VIDEO]

The number 1 on one of the motorcycles of Monster Energy Honda Team, in view of the next edition of Dakar Rally, represents one more reason to fight and reiterate the success achieved in 2020.

Towards the appointment in Saudi Arabia

One year after the success of Ricky brabec, remembered in the video proposed by Honda Racing Global, the team will try to replicate the triumph of 2020. The standard-bearers will also be competing alongside Brabec Jose Ignacio Cornejo, Kevin Benavidez e Joan Barreda. Four names who managed to complete the challenging raid in the last edition. All determined in view of the next marathon, hoping to fight for success.

They will try riding specimens of Honda CRF450 Rally and on one of these the number 1 will be present years later. The last rider to have won the Dakar on Honda in 1989 was Gilles Lalay, as recalled on the occasion. Now it is the American Brabec who drives a car with the number 1. In addition to the winner of the last edition, the following are also involved in the 43rd edition: the Chilean José Ignacio Cornejo lined up with the number 4 after a fourth place in the last Dakar; the Argentinian Kevin Benavides present with number 47 and potentially among the protagonists of the Dakar after a success at the Andalucia Rally; then the well-known and expert Joan Barreda with number 88, who has already taken part in this competition eleven times with numerous stage successes.
The next Dakar Rally is scheduled from January 3 2021 starting from Geddain Saudi Arabia, always ending in the same city 15st January, after covering a total of 7.649 kilometres, of which 4.767 against the clock.
The Monster Energy Honda Team is already in Jeddah, taking into account the tests linked to COVID-19, in view of the technical checks.
