Electric scooters: new rules in Rome for the sharing service
Among the measures is the adoption of a metal plate
On the portal of the Municipality of Rome a public notice has been published for the selection of three operators involved in electric scooter sharing service. Reference is also made to the guidelines approved by the Council on 24 June regarding the service.
The newness
Busy operators become three: and there are no longer seven. The duration of each concession is three years, the number of vehicles in the central areas a maximum of three thousand and then distributed equally in the remaining municipalities.
Among the other innovations, we specify: rentals only for adults and the obligation to register with an identity card; the presence on the vehicles of a metal plate with added a Qr code for immediate identification via devices; maximum speed of 20 km / h which becomes of 6 km/h in pedestrian areas.
Companies interested in operating in Rome must also have carried out an authorized service in city areas with at least 750.000 inhabitants and at least 1.000 vehicles.
The Municipality will then identify the areas where to place the stalls and where it is not possible to park the vehicles.
