Electric scooters: possible regulatory changes in the amendments to the Infrastructure Decree

Returning to the circulation of electric scooters, one of the most discussed topics after the accidents that have occurred recently, in addition to a more targeted parking regulation, license plate and insurance could be combined with this type of vehicle. The use of protection could concern all users, including adults, by wearing a helmet and jackets equipped with reflectors to facilitate visibility during the evening hours.
Among the topics under discussion is a possible confiscation of the vehicles in the event of modifications that allow them to increase their performance and, remaining on the topic, the maximum achievable speed could drop to 20 km/h. Furthermore, the penalties for those traveling with two people on a scooter could be increased.
