Model Year 2014, the BMW Motorrad range increases updates

For Model year 2014, in production since August 2013, there will be several updates for the models in the range BMW Motorrad.

The 2014 models can be ordered at all BMW Motorrad dealerships as of August 2013.

New 6-cylinder special model: BMW K 1600 GT “Sport”
Starting from the 2014 model year, the BMW K 1600 GT will be available in the special “Sport” model – a more dynamic version equipped with the following features:

• exclusive two-tone livery in Sakhir orange metallic/Black storm metallic;
• alloy wheels painted black;
• Sports windshield;
• sports saddle made with contrasting stitching.

The “Sport” trim level of the BMW K 1600 GT will be available from 1 August 2013 at an additional list price of €450.

BMW K 1600 GT
Starting from the 2014 model year, the Lightgrey metallic livery will no longer be available for the BMW K 1600 GT.
BMW K 1600 GTL
Starting from the 2014 model year, the BMW K 1600 GTL will be available in the color Magnesium beige metallic.
The side panels of the footrests and the frame will be painted in Platinum metallic colour.
The Mineral silver metallic color is no longer available.

BMW S1000RR
Starting from the 2014 model year, the BMW S 1000 RR will be available in the new color combinations Granite gray metallic matt / Alpine white 3 and Racing red / Alpine white / Sapphire black metallic.

The Granite gray metallic matt and Racing red / Alpine white 3 liveries are no longer available.

BMW R 1200 GS
Starting from the 2014 model year, the BMW R 1200 GS will be available with the following standard equipment:

• two electronic engine maps “Rain” and “Road”;
• stability control ASC;
• adoption of a steering damper as standard;
• springs painted white in the presence of Dynamic ESA;

The additional “Dynamic”, “Enduro” and “Enduro Pro” mappings remain available through the new optional “Pro engine mappings”;

Furthermore, the new Comfort, Touring and Dynamic packages are available which replace the current Comfort, Active and Dynamic packages. Finally, a greater number of options will be available individually and can be added if necessary.

The Turnkey price (valid from 1 August 2013) is €15,950 VAT included.

BMW R 1200 R
Starting from the 2014 model year, the Lightgrey metallic and Magnesium beige metallic liveries will no longer be available for the BMW R 1200 R.

BMW F 800 GS
Starting from the 2014 model year, the BMW F 800 GS will be available with the following modified options:

• the Safety package is replaced by the Dynamic package including: ESA, ASC, off-road mapping for ABS and ASC.

BMW F 800 R
Starting from the 2014 model year, the BMW F 800 R will be available in the Sakhir orange metallic / Brilliant black and Light white / Black storm metallic / Brilliant black liveries.
The Sapphire black metallic and Mineral silver metallic colors are no longer available.

BMW G650GS
Starting from the 2014 model year, the BMW G 650 GS will be available in Deep black.
Furthermore, the spoked wheels and the roof rack will be painted black.
The Sunset yellow livery is no longer available.

BMW C 600 Sports
Starting from the 2014 model year, the BMW C 600 Sport will be available with the following set of options and a new finish:

• instrument panel frame polished in black;
• new opening mechanism for the fuel cap;
• rear part of the frame in black;
• new Nürburg silver metallic color for the swingarm cover;
• new Alpine white 3 livery.

The Titanium silver metallic color is no longer available.

BMW C 650 GT
Starting from the 2014 model year, the BMW C 650 GT will be available with the following modified options and new finishes:

• central tunnel and fuel cap flap in black grain (previously painted in body colour);
• new opening mechanism for the fuel cap;
• instrument panel frame polished in black;
• new Nürburg silver metallic color for the swingarm cover;
• new Havanna metallic and Quarz blue metallic liveries.

The Platinum bronze metallic and Vermillion red metallic colors are no longer available.
