Confindustria ANCMA join as an associate member in Swappable Battery Motorcycle Consortium, to support the aims of the consortium at an Italian level.
The news
Lo Swappable Battery Motorcycle Consortium is a consortium that took shape in 2021 on the initiative of entities such as Honda, KTM, Piaggio e Yamaha to promote the spread of electric two-wheeled models, through initiatives such as the standardization of interchangeable batteries and exchange systems. Today it includes around 40 industrial companies, including manufacturers of two-wheeled models, battery and component manufacturers.
In 2022 there was a solid increase in registrations of electric models, +59% on the previous year. Mopeds and scooters are highlighted and the electric panorama today represents more than 8% of the entire two-wheeled market.
