For the electric mobility market, a positive increase of 59%, at the close of 2022, underlines the considerable progress of this proposal. According to what emerges from the study on the 2022 trend of the quadricycle and two-wheeled electric vehicle market, introduced today in Milan by Confindustria ANCMA (National Association of Motorcycle Accessories), registrations of mopeds, scooters, motorbikes and electric quadricycles are growing in Italy. The value of over 23.300 registrations in the past year is indicative, compared to that of 2018 with a total of just over 4.200 units.

The news

The cities of Rome, Milan and Trento are respectively the three urban areas with the highest concentration of electrical specimens, but in the last two years in the provinces of Catania and Palermo the market has grown more in percentage terms. In this case the most representative increase in the quadricycle market was recorded in Southern Italy between 2020 and 2022; Palermo, Catania and Naples are the cities on the podium with the most interesting performances. In Turin there was the best percentage growth in the motorcycle market and in succession Florence and Palermo came in; therefore Catania, Bergamo and Trento were the top three in the moped segment.
Remembering the purchase incentives and the advance of sharing opportunities, in 2022 a positive balance was ascertained in the various segments which confirms an interest from private individuals in the use of electric models in urban environments. The growth of mopeds of 53,3% with 5.904 units and that of scooters of 56,9% with 9.896 vehicles are indicative. The trend of the motorcycle panorama remains less pronounced, given the 540 examples with a progress of 7,5%. Moving on to electric quadricycles, however, the 7.043 examples and a significant increase of 74,1% allow these vehicles to be protagonists, resulting in one of the most interesting trends.
