MINI Citysurfer, the car manufacturer presents an exceptional two-wheeler

It will be able to travel 15 to 25 km autonomously

MINI Citysurfer – MINI will unveil its Citysurfer concept at the Los Angeles Auto Show this week.

The Californian show is therefore not just about four wheels. MINI has brought, in fact, a scooter with an electric motor capable of reaching a maximum speed of 25 km/h and with a weight of suns 18 kg. The concept, which will be called Citysurfer, has a lithium-ion battery mounted inside the body that can be charged using a wall socket. 12 volt of the car or through a household socket. MINI has stated that it will have a range of autonomy between 15 and 25 km and that the electric motor is activated only after reaching a certain minimum speed which is obtained the old fashioned way, with the push of the pilot. The scooter also benefits from the braking energy recovery and can be folded up to fit in the boot of a MINI.

La deactivation of the electric motor is done using a brake lever, while i tyres they are suitable for riding with your Citysurfer even on the bumpiest roads; Stopping power is provided by independent front brakes and rear hydraulic disc brakes, plus MINI has installed a phone holder that can charge your device while you're traveling. According to the British brand, these qualities will give the owner of the innovative scooter the “spontaneous and comfortable mobility even in those sections of an urban area not accessible to motor vehicles”. La urban congestion is becoming an increasingly serious problem and some cities are starting to ban cars outright and the idea of a scooter that is easy to load into the car thus becomes extremely attractive. This is doubly true in the case of the Citysurfer designed by MINI.

This is just a concept and MINI hasn't said yet whether the Citysurfer electric scooter will one day go into production.
