MiMoto: after Milan and Turin, the service also arrives in Genoa
Fleet of 100 eScooters in the first months of launch
MiMoto, the electric scooter sharing service, arrives in GenoVa after already being operational a Milano and Torino.
The service in the Ligurian capital
Proposed in strategic partnership with IrenGo, is an alternative and zero-emission way to get around the city. We report a fleet of 100 eScooters in the first months of launch, within an entirely eco-sustainable, rapid, "easy-to-use" service, i.e. using a functional vehicle with a weight limited to 80 kg, therefore with automatic tariffs (with the logic of "More Rentals, Pay Less”: €0.01 registration with €5 rental included and a list rate per minute of €0.26, hourly of €4,90 and daily €19.90), repeating what has been reported. Also mentioned is a particular offer linked to Iren customers by 31/12/2019, with minutes of use of the service.
Every means MiMoto it is approved for two passengers and equipped with two helmets, sanitizing air fresheners in the top case and disposable hygienic caps are also available, as indicated.
Furthermore, it is a free floating system, i.e “without parking constraints or charging stations and without keys”. In essence, once the eScooter has been located using a specific App developed for iOS and Android devices, you book the vehicle, you can use it and once the rental is finished you can leave it in one place, as long as it is permitted by the highway code and in the area established for the service. Speaking of coverage, on top of everything the center of the Ligurian capital, the main points of interest are included such as Albaro, San Vincenzo, Mouth, Boccadasse, etc. The initial operational area is a work in progress, also managed based on the needs of users and citizens.
According to the information released, in just under two years from the launch in Milan and one year from the activation in Turin, over 70.000 users have used the MiMoto service. In particular young people with a notable female presence. Approximately 2 million km have already been travelled, avoiding over 350 thousand kg of CO2 emissions, always following what has been reported.
