Michelin StarCross 5, the new high-performance range for any terrain arrives [PHOTO]

Michelin StarCross 5 – After three years of development and testing, Michelin launches the Michelin StarCross 5 range on the market, a motocross tire tested and approved by both amateur and professional riders. This new range was born thanks to the union of the skills of the Ladoux Research and Development Center team and the Michelin Motorsport team, who collaborated by sharing their technical know-how and competition experience to develop tires suitable for this type of motorcycle. The Michelin StarCross 5 range underlines the Michelin group's interest in the world of motocross in a particularly competitive and constantly changing market.

Available in four versions (hard, medium, soft and sand), Michelin StarCross 5 tires are designed to give maximum performance in motocross and cross country competitions, on any type of terrain and in any conditions. Compared to its predecessors, the new Michelin StarCross 5 range offers a lighter carcass which, with the same durability, makes the tire more agile and quicker to handle, thanks to the use of more resistant and high-density materials. The flexibility of the casing offers further benefits to the rider, including: better traction on a straight line and easier handling when cornering, possibility of running with higher pressures without compromising grip and comfort, high-performance tires from the first meters and ease of assembly.

The new carcass, designed to optimize contact with the ground, and the aggressive sculpture at the front and rear, specific for the type of use and for each type of terrain, offer the maximum level of grip, steering precision and traction even in difficult conditions. The particular shape of the side blocks favors the driving precision of the front tire and the inclined motion traction of the rear tire, while the central blocks dig and grip the ground to improve braking and traction performance on all types of surfaces.
