Metzeler: weekend to remember at the Internazionali d'Italia Supermoto

Absolute dominance for Marc Schmidt (L30 Racing) in S1 and Giulio Lorenzini (LUX Racing) in S2

Greater suffering, however, for Kevin Vandi, leader of the S4 category which is raced only on asphalt: the L30 Racing team driver was never able to find the feeling with the Viterbo track, thus settling for the lowest step of the podium

Metzeler – After the opening race in Ottobiano the Supermoto paddock found itself on the Lazio track Viterbo for the second seasonal event of the Internationals of Italy Supermoto.

In the prestigious S1 category, the premier class of the specialty, the top driver of the Team L30 Racing, Mark Schmidt, was once again the protagonist since qualifying: making the most of his Honda with tires Metzeler Racetec SM in the K1 compound the German driver was the author of a prestigious pole position. At the start of Race 1, Schmidt was very fast at the traffic lights, thus finding himself in the lead of the race already at the first corner. With determination and speed he immediately pushed to gain the right advantage over his pursuers, and then managed the second part of the heat, winning with over six seconds of advantage. Photocopy of Race 1, the second half: Marc Schmidt impressed with his great speed, inflicting abysmal gaps on his opponents. Thanks to the performance put in in Viterbo Schmidt is now in second position, just three points from the top.

In category S2 Giulio Lorenzini he is the fittest driver at the moment, something he immediately showed in Viterbo by scoring an encouraging pole position. Then in Race1 the Team Lux Racing driver gave life to a solo, thanks to his perfect feeling with his Suzuki Valenti with Metzeler Racetec SM tyres, remaining in the lead from the first to the last lap. Giulio Lorenzini's start in Race 2 was less happy, however, despite losing several positions at the start, he still managed to repeat the success of Race 1, thus consolidating his lead in the standings. Greater suffering instead for Kevin Vandi, leader of the S4 category which is raced only on asphalt: the driver of the L30 Racing team never managed to find the feeling with the Viterbo track, thus settling for the lowest step of the podium and maintaining the red plate as leader of the classification. Good second place overall for Kevin Negri in the S3 category. More than a month's break now for the riders of the Internazionali d'Italia Supermoto, who will return to the track on June 24th on the track of Search (CN).
