In 2022 the edition of Six Days International Enduro FIM (IS THE) was carried out in Le Puy-en-Velay, a small village in the Haute-Loire department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. Success was achieved by formation of Great Britain captained by Nathan Wattson and Steve Holcombe, equipped with Metzeler tyres, ahead of the Italian pilots e Spanish.

The initial protagonist of the comparison was Josep Garcia (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing), leader of the Spanish national team, in provisional first place on Day One. The British national team, captained by Nathan Wattson (Honda Racing RedMoto World Enduro Team) and Steve Holcombe (Team Beta Factory Enduro), also made up of Jed Etchells (Fantic D'Arpa Racing) and all with Metzeler tyres, started in a more cautious manner finishing the first day in third position. While the following day he took the lead, maintaining the leadership until the conclusion of the motocross challenge on the sixth day, thus gaining the 96th edition of the Six Days International Enduro FIM.

Behind them the battle for second place began between the Italian national team is that Spanish. The Iberian team, after the burning start, was overcome by the consistency of the Italian team led by Andrea Verona (Gas Gas Factory Racing), Thomas Oldrati (Honda Racing RedMoto World Enduro Team) and completed by two other riders with Metzeler support Alex Salvini and Samuele Bernardini. Having achieved a third place in the motocross heat on the sixth day with Spain in second place, at the conclusion of the sixth and final day the Italian national team managed to overtake the Iberian team, taking second place overall in the Trophy.

Among the protagonists also present are the Australian rider Daniel Milner (Fantic D'Arpa Racing), Mikael Persson (Husqvarna Factory Racing) and Roni Kytonen (Honda Racing RedMoto World Enduro Team). This last one dragged the Finnish national team in second place in the Vase, as reported.
In the transalpine venue of the competition, the Metzeler pilots were busy for six days on hard and dusty terrain, made even more challenging on some days by the rain. Along with the counter-slope special tests, there were also wooded sections characterized by roots and natural obstacles.
This year's challenge included a route divided into three zones with five special tests for the first five days, then the traditional final cross-country heat was held. In the first two days the special tests were carried out in the villages of Haute-Loire, Haut-Allier and Gévaudan, however the race route of the third and fourth day started again from the village of Haute-Loire reaching Lozère and then arriving at Longing. On the fifth day the challenge started again from the village of Haute-Loire passing through Le Puy-en-Velay, up to Emblavez at the end of the day. The conclusion on Saturday 3 September took place in the cross field a few steps from the Le Puy-en-Velay paddock.
