Metzeler selected as Official Tire Supplier for the prestigious FIM Supermoto challenges

Metzeler was chosen by the XIEM company as Official Tire Supplier for the FIM Supermoto World and European Championships and for the FIM Supermoto of Nations. The teams and drivers of the S1GP world series and the S4 European series, as well as the national challenge, will use the Metzeler Racetec SM.
The tire specialist of German origin has been selected as the sole partner and supplier for the three-year period 2023-2025.

Supply

To the protagonists of S1GP category front tires will be supplied by 16,5 inches in K1 compounds e K2, while for those of theEuropean S4 are provided also 17 inch solutions in the same typologies. The rear tires are from 17 inches in mix K1.

The tires Metzeler Racetec SM they are developed specifically for supermotard models, characterized by latest generation racing compounds and profiles. The tread design includes central grooves perpendicular to the direction of rolling to offer greater mechanical grip in off-road sections of the track, while the grooves in the mid-bend area have been designed for quick and functional self-cleaning. The compounds are characterized by a high silica content to obtain rapid heating and abrasion resistance, as highlighted.
