Proposed in the previous size by 120/70 ZR 17 NHS TL and in the variants intended for the rear area from 180/55 ZR 17 NHS TL, 180/60 ZR 17 NHS TL, 190/55 ZR 17 NHS TL e 200/55 ZR 17 NHS TL; Racetec™ TD Slick it is characterized by taking information from a racing compound with low glass transition temperature polymers, carbon black and high melting temperature resins. A combination that allows the tire to quickly reach an optimal temperature, even without using tire warmers, as highlighted.
Bearing in mind the experience in road racing challenges such as the famous Tourist Trophy, the brand's experts have defined a compound that can act in a wide range of temperatures and road surface conditions, in order to obtain "consistency in performance and resistance to cold tears".
The homogeneity of the components in the polymetric matrix is ​​linked to an exclusive patented CCM – Compound Continuous Mixing process, allowing this tire to transmit high performance throughout the laps, despite multiple thermal cycles, as reported again.
The rubber behind it has a sharp profile for easier handling, also increasing the contact area when leaning, therefore the grip. The profile of the product placed in the front area reflects the rear one, balancing the overall yield.
Returning to the rear, the carcass is distinguishable by a classic single-ply radial structure in Rayon, reminiscent of supersport road tyres. A solution “Plug & play” which allows the vehicle to be track ready even with standard set-up. The zero-degree steel belts, front and rear, are patented solutions that promote a high degree of structural flexibility and an optimized feeling to support the rider's performance on the track.
