Metzeler Racetec RR, the renovation project concludes at the EICMA

The international preview took place during the Motorcycle Show

Metzeler Racetec RR – Metzeler presented its new SPORTEC M2014 RR at EICMA 7 and, exactly one year later, completed the renovation project with the new Racing Supersport Racetec RR.

The Racetec RR is designed for all motorcycle owners super sports and naked who love sporty driving and who want the maximum in terms of grip even on the road, looking for strong emotions and a very high level of performance, for this reason they use technologies, materials, advanced processes and the know-how achieved by the tires Metzeler in recent years to offer a new level of performance.

The Racetec RR presents new profiles, structure materials, compounds and tread design, which I guarantee grip in all conditions, both on the road and on the track, thanks to the versatility of the compounds, which are also resistant to abrasion. In particular the rear tire of Racetec RR is bi-compound and is able to offer a excellent grip when cornering together with high stability at high speeds. The arrangement of the central longitudinal notches is aimed at maximization of the compactness of the tread band to optimize straight-line stability, while the position of the transverse grooves offers cornering grip in all asphalt conditions while minimizing the effects of wear thanks to their orientation.

The innovative carcass material used in the structure of the Racetec RR elevates its performance lateral rigidity minimizing oscillations during the driving. In the case of a road layout, its peculiarities, represented by manholes, patching of the road surface and jumps, create sudden losses of grip. The cap and side profiles have been designed to absorb the asperities and at the same time dampen the deformations of the impact, without generating oscillations. The Racetec RR will be available for purchase at all Metzeler retailers starting from January 2015 in different sizes and compounds.
