Metzeler official tire of the Isle of Man TT until 2027
Contract for a five-year period
Metzeler was chosen by the Department for Enterprise of the Isle of Man Government like Official tyre of the races of Tourist trophy for the five-year period 2023-2027, with a sponsorship contract.
The news
The tires Metzeler RACETEC RR already used by several riders, including the winner of the “Senior TT” Dean Harrison, were created thanks to the brand's experience in Road Racing challenges. Official road competitions are an interesting field for tire testing and development. With the participation in Road Racing commitments and the experience accumulated, the proposal of solutions in the Metzeler range has been strengthened with products such as the recent sports tires SPORTEC M9 RR.
The challenge of Tourist trophy It has been held since 1907 on the road circuit of the Snaefell Mountain Course on the Isle of Man, a course of over 60 kilometers (60,720 km). Over time, the competition has become iconic given the tradition and commitment required by the race. The production, sporting and technological history of Metzeler is also long, a tire brand that has been active for over a century and a half.
