METZELER MCE 6 DAYS EXTREME – The protagonist tires of the FIM Enduro World Championship, METZELER MCE 6 DAYS EXTREME, have been chosen by Husqvarna Motorcycles as original equipment for the 2017 Enduro range presented in recent days in Huskvarna, Sweden, birthplace of the historic brand founded in 1903. Husqvarna Motorcycles' choice involves the use of tires in the size 90/90 – 21 M/C 54M M+S for the front, while for the rear there are two different options: 120/90 – 18 M/C 65M M+S for the two-stroke TE 125 model and 140/80 – 18 M/C 70M M+S for the two-stroke TE 250 and TE 300 models, FE 250, FE 350 , FE 450 and FE 501 four-stroke.

MCE 6 DAYS EXTREME is the flagship product of Metzeler's Enduro tire range, FIM approved and winner of 26 titles in the FIM Enduro World Championship in twelve years, and eight consecutive titles in the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship. To create the MCE 6 DAYS EXTREME compounds, Metzeler uses high-performance carbon black, in order to strengthen the structure of the blocks and guarantee a more stable tread band. The new generation polymers allow METZELER tires to present greater resistance to abrasion, cuts and tears, counteracting the frequent phenomenon of premature wear which occurs especially when used in mixed conditions. The MCE 6 DAYS EXTREME are versatile and capable of adapting to the different terrains faced during enduro racing activities, thanks to the high-resistance Polyester carcass. Metzeler provides a model with superior structural characteristics to the previous ones, improving its rigidity, increasing the damping properties and structural stability, elements thanks to which the motorcyclist has greater control of the motorbike in different riding conditions.

MCE 6 DAYS EXTREME presents a profile design on the rear tire with a diversified curvature radius which ensures excellent traction and high wear resistance thanks to a large contact area which involves multiple blocks at each lean angle for better grip in the ground and which reduces specific stresses. At the front, the spaced blocks are able to have continuous grip even on the softest terrain, allowing the tire to make the most of its self-cleaning properties. These blocks have a V-shaped distribution on the tread, to which is added an asymmetric design of the central blocks which guarantees maximum driving precision on a straight line, combined with increased braking stability. The blocks located on the innermost part of the shoulder are arranged with a directional design which improves stability and controllability when cornering at any lean angle, while the lateral ones are reinforced to allow the tire to have greater resistance on rougher terrain. hard.

The center section design in the rear tire features an alternating block geometry that ensures smoother straight-line rolling. The rear of the MCE 6 DAYS EXTREME was created with a specific alignment in the distribution of the blocks from the center towards the sides, following a diagonal line which guarantees maximum lateral support when setting the curve, while the innermost blocks of the shoulders allow the rider to better control the accelerating vehicle when exiting the bend, responding as best as possible to the stresses. In addition to the sizes supplied to Husqvarna Motorcycles, MCE 6 DAYS EXTREME is available in the front sizes 90/90 – 21 M/C 54M M+S Hard and 90/100 – 21 M/C 57M MST and rear sizes 130/90 – 18 M/C 69M M+S and 140/ 80 – 18 M/C 70M M+S Soft.
