METZELER launches Natural Born Lady Rider

METZELER – METZELER continues its journey on two wheels in the world of cinema, proposing again this year the 48-hour non-stop film marathon during the week of EICMA, the International Cycle and Motorcycle Exhibition in Milan: the appointment is for Monday 7 November at 20pm at the Deus Leica Theatre, in via Thaon di Revel, 30.

Last year METZELER presented the "48h on the Road" in the same location, the first of a series of initiatives linked to the launch of the new METZELER ROADTEC 01 sport touring tire which concluded with the screening of the film Take the Road. This 10-minute short film narrates the journey from Milan to Biarritz, France, undertaken by three photographers and a special equipped with METZELER tyres: the film, made with the collaboration of Deus Ex Machina and the support of Leica, was premiered at the Motorcycle Film Festival in New York last September.

The second edition of the film marathon will have the title Natural Born Lady Rider and will be the first of a series of initiatives promoted by METZELER throughout 2017, with the aim of paying homage to female motorcycling pride, in which women of all ages and social backgrounds recognize themselves, who put themselves on the line and challenge any type of adversity in order to ride their motorbike with determination, talent and femininity and who feel a strong attraction towards two wheels enough to choose them as a lifestyle.

Women will also be the protagonists of all the films that will be projected on the screen of the Deus Leica Theater until 20.30pm on 9 November: the careful selection, managed by Rodaggio Film, includes over twenty titles from all over the world, including documentaries, shorts and fiction films which, in addition to showing some films coming from the Motorcycle Film Festival, such as Klocked: Women with horsepower or Robin's Road Trip, created with the photographer Robin de Puy, will allow you to watch films in black and white, with a retro flavour, like Tunnel of Love or other important titles like the famous A girl on a motorcycle, a 1968 film with Alain Delon among the protagonists, in addition to the famous Here the Adventure Begins with Monica Vitti in the role of a motorcyclist.

The evenings will also have different themes, all linked by the combination of women and motorcycling: on Tuesday 8 November the girls from Ken Fox's Wall of Death, in whose film there are three Daredevil women, will be the guests of honor of the evening, while the appointment for Wednesday 9 November which closes the event will see the participation of numerous guests international events linked to the world of competitions.
