Metzeler: a 2020 thematic calendar dedicated to extreme enduro [PHOTO]

Titled “Metzeler Extreme”

A version that joins the Classic one, in its 26th edition

Il Metzeler calendar 2020 is proposed in two versions: Classic to its 26 edition, traditionally characterized by historical black and white photos that portray phases and protagonists of two-wheeled competitions, therefore one thematic variant which on this occasion pays homage to extreme enduro. A calendar “Metzeler Extreme”.

Information

The first edition entitled Metzeler Classic It dates back to 1994 and, since its debut, it has hosted black and white shots dedicated to international motorcycling. From the 2010 the Classic calendar is flanked by a typical one thematic with images referring to a particular topic selected by the tire specialist. Among those particularly remembered: the bi-thematic edition dedicated to MOCLA, the Club of Cuban Classic Motorcycles with shots signed by Michael Lichter. Then also a tribute to Japan in the 2012 edition and to the Road Racing panorama, i.e. the road competitions in which the same brand is involved, in 2014.
There are 14 subjects with relative descriptions in English that make up the 2020 calendar. Images, in the case of the thematic version, coming from the archives of the Austrian Red Bull Media House GmbH; while the Classic version combines shots from the German photographic archive Text&Technik Verlag Weissach, reporting what was reported. Among the moments portrayed, we highlight the photo in which Honda mechanics appear on their lunch break during the Spanish Grand Prix linked to the months of May and June, but also that of a rider at the checkpoint before the start during the International Six Days Trial (ISDT), associated with September and October.
The calendar, printed double-sided, is offered in limited edition (5.000 copies indicated) by Grafiche Antiga SpA on finely crafted paper and the dimensions correspond to 49,5 x 34,5 centimetres. The photo that appears on the cover of the Extreme version appears above “laminated paper with a rough effect located in areas of dirt ground”, as reported.
