In 2021 an overall was recorded + 32,6 % on 2020 thanks, in particular, to the push linked to quadricycles (+448,8%) and motorcycles (+56,2%) in the electricity sector. According to what was communicated, in Italy private mobility has supported the market for electric-powered motorcycles and quadricycles.

The influence of orders for shared mobility services and for companies 2020 persists in particular on the market scooter, reporting a +5% with over 6.300 vehicles registered. Without taking into account the 2020 orders, the increase would still be positive, above 85%. The moped market also remains unscathed, the only one with a negative sign, with over 3.900 units and a figure of -10,5%.
Speaking of the pedal assisted bicycles, the data for 2021 will be released by next spring. From the first estimates, the trend would approximately replicate the 2020 numbers, a record year for the sector with over 280 thousand units sold and a figure of +44% on 2019.
Returning to vehicles, in light of the success of quadricycles, going from 716 to 3.930 units, for the two-wheeler market there was an overall progress of +0,5% compared to 2020 with 10.848 vehicles registered (+85,5% compared to 2019). Also highlighted is the trend of motorcycle, from 388 units in 2020 to 606, which further underlines the appreciation of zero-emission vehicles regarding private individual mobility. The vitality of the market is also characterized by the increase in product offering and the arrival of new companies on the market.
