Two-wheeled vehicle market, ANCMA: +3,4% in February
Scooters are in evidence, mopeds and motorbikes are declining
A growing figure of + 3,4 % in registrations of two-wheeled vehicles in February, compared to the same month last year, considering a significant growth in scooter but also a decline linked to mopeds and motorbikes, as learned from a press release issued by Confindustria ANCMA (National Association of Cycle Motorcycle Accessories).

Since the beginning of the year, in the first two months and considering a negative data in January and the data linked to motorcycles a February, there was a decrease of 3,79% equal to 31.569 registered vehicles. The February trend when it comes to scooters ends almost at parity (-0,22%) with 17.055 vehicles, whereas for motorbikes the drop is 7,67% with 14.514 vehicles sold. A decline that also affects mopeds, closing the two-month period with 2.409 vehicles and a deficit of 30,52%. The total market partially recovers the volumes, however the closing was negative with a drop of 6,35% and 33.978 vehicles introduced.
There was also a decline on the electricity front, considering a two-month period with a decrease of 43,94% and 1.147 vehicles sold. A value on which fleet supplies linked to sharing mobility weigh. The contraction was notable for mopeds (-60,92%) and 546 vehicles, scooters also fell (-11,63%) with 532 registrations, while motorbikes bucked the trend, recording 69 examples and an increase of 46,81%.
Speaking of the month of February, as mentioned, a difference in trends emerges for motorbikes and scooters. In the first case there was a decline of 7,4% with 8.226 registered vehicles, while in the second an interesting growth of 18,89% and 11.037 registrations. Overall +6,04% of registrations, with 19.263 vehicles on the market. Mopeds are also decreasing, considering 1.268 vehicles and a loss of 24,66% compared to the same period of 2020. The positive data associated with scooters therefore weighs heavily on the total market (mopeds + registered vehicles), recording 20.531 vehicles and an increase of 3,44 .XNUMX% in the past month.
