In October registered vehicles (displacement greater than 50 cc) reach 15.748, with a decrease of 13,92% compared to the same month of 2019. A decrease linked in particular to the data linked to scooters, only 9.260 vehicles sold with a decrease of 22,29, 6.488%. The other sectors performed well considering the 1,72 motorbikes up by 1.806%, therefore also mopeds with 17,04 vehicles up by XNUMX%. Overall, in light of the market total and taking into account registered vehicles and mopeds, the flexion in October it results from 11,51% with 17.554 vehicles, as indicated.

Data for displacements and segments

Starting from scooter, the 125 cc examples remain at the top recording 46.848 units, with a decrease of 4,97%. The decreasing figure was greater for the 300-500 engine sizes, down 12,69% since the beginning of the year with 39.152 sales. In third place were the 150-250 engine sizes with 19.629 vehicles registered and a decrease of 3,57%. The decline in maxi scooters over 500 cc was smaller, with -2,95% and 9.274 vehicles.
Moving on to motorcycle, the 800-1000 displacements remain in first position, despite a decline of 22,3% since the beginning of the year and 20.096 units sold. Then the displacements over 1.000 cc with 19.535 vehicles and a decline of 10,45%. The 300-600 motorbikes follow with 16.481 registrations and a recovery of the volumes of 2019. The data for the 650-750 displacements is also positive with 15.238 units, corresponding to an increase of 0,9%. Then the engine capacities up to 2,68 cc increased by 125%, reaching 11.211 vehicles and finally the 150-250 cc vehicles with 2.497 vehicles and a percentage growth of 3,2%.
Evaluating by segments, the lead still goes to naked vehicles with 33.492 vehicles registered, however down by 5,24%. In succession the enduros with 30.574 vehicles and -8,3%. Then the touring motorbikes, considering 10.001 units and a corresponding decline of 11,6% since the beginning of the year. Customs also fell by 17%, recording 3.963 sales. The sports cars reach 3.737 vehicles, recording -11,68% and finally supermotard and trials with a percentage of -8,36% and 3.165 examples.
Speaking of grouping electric, the triple-digit progression continues in light of state incentives and an expanded proposal. In October, 906 vehicles including mopeds, scooters and motorbikes of this type were verified, with an increase of 115,2%. In the first ten months the vehicles on the market reached 8.644 with an overall increase of 127,11%, as reported.

The first 10 months

The negative data linked to scooters weighs on the balance of vehicles registered in recent months. In October the registered vehicles were 199.961, confirming one flexion di 7,71% compared to the same period of 2019. Considering scooters, the value amounts to 114.903 units, recording a decrease of 7,37%, while that of motorcycles reaches -8,15% on 2019 with 85.058 vehicles. Mopeds are recovering with an increase of 0,08% and 16.779 units. Therefore the two-wheel market in the first ten months of 2020 reaches 216.740 vehicles, down by 7,15% based on the information.
