Motorcycle and scooter market: a relatively stable situation reported, -2,1% in November
From January to last month 225.794 registrations
The weight of the month of November amounts to approximately 4% of total annual sales, speaking of registrations of motorcycle e scooter. A substantially stable picture is indicated, compared to the same month of last year, considering a percentage of -2,1% with 9.150 vehicles purchased. Data linked to a decline in the overview motorcycle (-6,7% and 3.535 units registered) unlike the scooter (+1% and 5.615 vehicles sold). Means are also decreasing 50 cc, the so-called “fifty”, in light of the 1.318 vehicles ascertained (-16,4%), always repeating what was communicated.
The percentages
Starting from motorcycle, the market situation remains substantially positive. The means 800-1000cc they are the ones that capture the greatest interest given the 26.631 registrations (+11,2%); therefore the maxi motorbikes over 1000 cc with 22.668 pieces (-1%). Also highlighted were vehicles between 600 and 750 cc with 15.910 units (+7,2%), therefore racing motorcycles 300 a 500 cc with 16.901 registrations and consistent growth: +14%. Then 2.588 motorcycle sales were recorded 150-250cc (+3,3%), as the data linked to 125 cc with 11.434 registrations (+10,1%).
By segments: le naked remain at the top with 36.494 units sold (+6,2%), followed by road enduros (34.871 sales and +15,1%), le touring motorcycle (11.658 vehicles and +1,4%), le custom (4.977 vehicles and -7,7%), le athletic (4.413 registrations and -4%) and the supermoto (2.713 units and +20,3%).
Moving on to scooter 129.662 sales were recorded (+5,6%), compared to the figure for the aforementioned motorcycles equal to 96.132 vehicles (+7,5%), always returning to the values reported on the occasions. Staying on the scooters the 125 cc with 51.418 registrations (+13,4%), followed by 300-500cc (47.190 vehicles and +8,2%), 150-250cc (21.292 vehicles and -9,6%) e maxi scooter over 500 cc (9.762 vehicles and -4,9%), always considering the same period of the previous year.
In decline, as mentioned, i “fifty”. From January to November, 18.083 registrations were indicated (-7,9%) comparing the value with that of last year. In summary, however, from January to November 2019, 225.794 registrations were confirmed, an increase (+6,4%) compared to the same period in 2018.
